What you could do

You may have the feeling that, following a distressing event, you are not your usual self.
That is quite possible, but it doesn’t have to mean that you will continue to be bothered by unpleasant and interfering feelings, thoughts or pain. If tackled or treated properly, these reactions can be made to disappear or be reduced. And in this way, you can carry on with your life, in spite of all the misery you have experienced.
